Privacy policy

This policy explains what Offsheet Motors collects through offsheetmotors.com, why, and the choices you have. We follow Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

Who we are

Offsheet Motors ("we") makes dealership software for car importers in Sri Lanka, and is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us on WhatsApp; see "Contact us" below.

What we collect

When you book a demo: your name, your dealership's name, your WhatsApp number, your team size, how you'd like the demo, and any note you add.
When you message us on WhatsApp: your number and what you write to us. WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies to those messages.
When you visit the site: which pages you open and which buttons you tap (for example "Book a demo", the video or WhatsApp). We also note the link that brought you, such as an Instagram post, your rough location by country, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. These visit records use a random number that lasts only while the browser tab is open. They don't include your name, your phone number or your IP address.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits and page speed for us without cookies and without identifying you.

We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't collect information about children.

Why we use it

To arrange and give your demo, answer your questions, and follow up about Offsheet Motors. We do this because you asked us to contact you.
To understand which posts and pages help dealers find us, so we can improve the site. We use visit records only as totals.
To keep the site secure, for example to block spam bookings.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Who handles it for us

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores bookings and visit records. Its servers may be outside Sri Lanka.
Google (Gmail) receives a copy of each booking by email, so we can reply quickly.
WhatsApp (Meta) carries our messages when we contact you there.

Only the Offsheet Motors team can see bookings. Our stats page is protected by a password.

How long we keep it

We delete a booking within 12 months of our last conversation if you don't become a customer. If you do become a customer, our agreement with your dealership covers your data from then on.
We keep anonymous visit records for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy
correct anything that's wrong
delete your information
stop contacting you, or stop using your information for a particular purpose

Message us and we'll respond within 14 days. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to Sri Lanka's Data Protection Authority.

Keeping it safe

Every connection to the site is encrypted. Bookings are checked before they're stored, and access to them is limited to our team. No method is perfect, but if something went wrong that put your information at risk, we'd tell you.
